Myrrh quickly stopped off at the grocery store and bought 3 whole chickens and 4 big containers of potato salad. After they got to the studio, everyone was at the large dinner table. It was the same thing every day, they went to work or school then quick stop at home, or the store, to get some food, then they got together and had a big dinner. They took the giant sets, which could be taken down, and transformed them into tables in seconds. They ate on the back of them as not to damage the paint coats and whatnot. When they got there, the tables where already set up and there were ten barbecues already on the go. Myrrh gave his chickens to a couple of the people cooking, and he sat next to the producers. Phe and Millie went and occupied their own part of a table.
Phe looked at Millie. "So what do you think they are talking about?" Phe pointed at Myrrh, who was waving his arms wildly while he spoke, obviously trying to portray what he wanted done in today's work. The producer just nodded along, then the studio owner sat down, who also started to nod.
"Knowing Myrrh, some elaborate scene involving two bears and some horses." Phoenix laughed.
"I'm going to grab a drink. Do you want anything, Millie?"
"A Brisk, if there is any."
Pheonix nodded, soon returning with two cans of pop; a Brisk and a root beer.
A tall blond came and sat next to Pheonix. "Hey Phe, So I was wondering..." He had a black skin tight shirt, and tight blue jeans that showed off his... legs nicely. "I was wondering...If," he paused to sigh for a moment. "If you'd like to you know... go out sometime... to say a park, or a movie... well not a movie 'cause I bet you have enough to do with movies while your here..."
"Aurther, your a great guy, I'd love to go to the movies... as a friend." Aurther was one of the first people she had met when she got to the studio. He was followed by women, chasing after his perfect... sense of fashion. Who couldn't disagree with a tight shirt that showed off your... shoulders.
"Oh." He said it if he had been shot, and had just realized it. It didn't take him long to pick up his original composure. "Okay so i'll pick you up at six Sunday, right?" Phe just sighed and nodded. Aurther jumped to his feet and ran off to go sit with the sound techies.
"Most popular person around, and you don't like him."
"He's attractive, and smart, and very personable...."
"And has a voice like one of those chocolate fountains, so pure and good and creamy... and then there's the butt." Millie smiled, "So honestly, hun, what don't you see in the guy?"
"I don't know, I just don't like him. He's got the 'Milhouse' supportiveness, and the 'grease-lightning-of-our-time' appeal. He's just not my guy."
Millie nodded. "At least he isn't trying love notes."
"Try again. He's courting me, like a knight might do."
Myrrh appeared suddenly behind her with a large grin. "It's okay M'lady. I know the problem with him for you."
Millie jumped. She hadn't seen Myrrh coming either. "Vandestalkin, what's wrong with you, sneaking up on someone like that?"
"I didn't sneak. You just failed to hear, unlike me hearing your conversation."
Phe turned to him. "Oh, yes. Mr. Vandes, what would your professional opinion be?"
Myrrh just smiled. "If you don't find out by the time I leave, then you shall find out by words spoken unto only you whilst no one is around."
Phe shook her head. "If you didn't speak only in riddles then you might have someone special too, Vandes."
"Oh but I did..." Myrrh's eyes wandered off in thought, "I did... But none of that is of concern to you. We've decided that casting begins tomorrow for the second production. I'd like you to attend so that you can read the parts opposite of who they are trying to convey." With that Myrrh wandered off, not letting Phoenix have any say in the matter.
"Millie, do you think that he does that on purpose?"
"He is a funny man. I can say that much."
The dinner soon began and the festivties only got louder. The cooks ate while they cooked (having the things that would be burnt by dinner time all gathered together), and played music while the people ate. They sung about a hard days work, some old Beatles' songs, and Fleetwood Mac, even playing a couple songs from Streetlight Manifesto.
When the work began Phoenix didn't waste time, she helped stack the dishes while the musicans cleaned them, then turning the tables back into sets she helped wheel each one back into place. The day's work wasn't hard, she spent most of it painting old sets white, which would have outlines by tomorrow of what the sets should look like, and a reference picture so she could get the tones right.

"So then he said, Micheal..." Millie stopped, as Phoenix looked worried. "What's the matter dear?"
"I forgot to put the paint away. I'll be right back, I don't want it to dry over night!" Phoenix ran off towards her section of the studio, and when she got close she heard a couple people yelling at each other. She ignored it, probably two of the grips arguing about whether or not they had locked up the cameras. She quickly closed up the cans and turned around. No. That was Myrrh's voice, and... Darren. The man who owned the building. She sneaked closer to hear what they were saying.
"Look, Myrrh, I don't care. If you try to do that, you'll be kicked out. I spent too much time to create a new persona, if my family knew I was in cohorts with you again... Well, you know what they'd do." That was Darren. By his looks, you'd say that he was Aurther's older brother or something, they had no relation. Both had nice butts, both had those abs. What where they doing? Was Myrrh part of some gang? It would explain his money...
"Durandan, look, I'm going to make them see everything my way." Durandan? Doesn't he mean Darren?
"And how will you do that?" Darren stared at Myrrh, who held something up. Phoenix tried to see, but she couldn't because of the weird angle so they wouldn't see her. "Right. Fine, I'll retract my statement from the committee. But if it doesn't work, I never want to hear your name again."
Myrrh just nodded. Darren turned around and left, exiting out the back door. Then, Myrrh looked straight at Phoenix. "I know you're there." Before Phoenix could stand or be embarrassed, Myrrh left.
Phoenix walked back to Millie's car, pondering if Myrrh wanted her to hear that argument.
